Virtual Visits
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is a Virtual Visit?
Based on your insurance regulations, Virtual Visits are a way for you to communicate remotely in real-time using chat function, video conferencing, or phone calls with your Oxford Clinicians.
E- Visits are reserved for Medicare and insurance companies following Medicare regulations. * Oxford Physical Therapy No Longer Offers E-Visits *
Telehealth Visits are designed to replace an in-person visit and are your more traditional PT visit, just performed remotely instead of in-person.
Who can do a Virtual Visit?
E-Visits are reserved for existing Oxford patients with Medicare or whose insurance follows Medicare guidelines. * No New E-Visit appointments will be scheduled at this time. *
If you are NOT an existing Oxford patient and would like to schedule a FREE virtual (BE)Visit- you can make that request by emailing teleheatlh@oxfordpt.com.
New Telehealth Evaluations are now covered based on insurance with self pay options available. You do not need to be an existing Oxford PT patient to request a Telehealth visit.
How do I schedule a Virtual Visit?
If you are interested in scheduling a Telehealth Visit you can make a request through the Patient Portal or over the phone. If you need assistance logging into the Patient Portal, please feel free to give us a call 513.701.6100.
If you have forgotten your username and/or password to your Patient Portal, OR are not an existing patient you can request an appointment online.
Is there a charge for a Virtual Visit?
As always there is no charge for (BE)Visits, whether they are in person or virtual.
Your normal co-pay, co-insurance and deductible apply for both Telehealth Visits and E-Visits. * Oxford Physical Therapy no longer offers E-Visits. *
Since these visits are performed remotely, we would ask that you make these payments online.
If you don’t have insurance, Telehealth visits are available for follow-up visits for $25 per 15 mins.
What electronic equipment do I need?
Telehealth Visits require audio- visual communication, so it is recommended to have a computer or tablet/ smartphone with camera and microphone capabilities. Computer users will not need additional software. If using smartphone or tablet instructions and information on how to download the App can be found here.
What happens after my Virtual Visit?
As it would happen with a traditional in-person visit, you and your therapist will create a treatment plan moving forward. Any visits moving forward could be a combination of in-person and virtual visits based on each patient’s individual need or unique situation.
