+ ACUTE PHYSICAL THERAPY
Injuries that are very new and require treatment with therapeutic modalities. (I.e. Ice, heat, electrical stimulation) to control pain and improve function. Schedule will vary in frequency and duration based on individual needs and progression.
+ ACTIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY
Continuation from acute physical therapy that includes total body physical reconditioning with incorporation of a mild work simulation component. May also be utilized to help prepare for a more intensive Work Conditioning or Work Hardening Program. Frequency is 3 x/week and duration varies on individual progression.
+ WORK CONDITIONING
General functional task simulation and physical reconditioning with increased focus on endurance utilized to prepare for a future job search and/or return to work. May also be utilized in preparation for a more intensive Work Hardening Program. Return to work goals are identified and program components are addressed to meet these goals. Program duration ranges from 2-4 hours/day with a frequency of 3-5x/week and an average of 4-6 weeks in duration.
+ WORK HARDENING (aka: Occupational Rehabilitation)
A conditioning program placing greater emphasis on work specific task simulation, stress management, nutritional counseling as well as body mechanics education. Program duration ranges from 4-8 hours/day with a 5x/week frequency and average duration of 4-6 weeks. A specific job goal will be addressed throughout this program.
+ FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION (FCE)
Evaluation of overall functional and/or work specific capabilities of evaluee in preparation of a return to work or job search. Evaluation is also commonly utilized to determine validity of client report as well as consistency of effort. May also be utilized to help determine which specific program above is appropriate for a client. This is commonly a one day evaluation which lasts 3-4 hours.
